The Higher School of Public Administration Sciences (SSSAP) is a post-university higher education and research center in the fields of legal-administrative sciences, socio-political sciences, economic-financial as well as managerial sciences.

Embedded in the Department of Political and Social Sciences for aspects related to the management of administrative-accounting activities, the SSSAP was established in the year 2009 and had, as first Director, Prof. emeritus Silvio Gambino.The activities of the School want to support the economic and social innovation processes aimed at the rationalization, efficiency, effectiveness, and legality of the administrative action, promoting also the culture of quality and service orientation.The SSSAP organizes and offers 1st and 2nd level University Masters (MA); Advanced training courses (CAF) for management careers in public administrations as well as private and non-profit organizations; on-demand courses to develop and transfer the new competences and skills required by the recent greater transformations linked to the diffusion of new technologies and the transition towards a more inclusive and sustainable paradigm. Furthermore, based on special agreements and protocols with local and national public and private institutions/organizations, the School of Public Administration Sciences carries out research activities in the field of social sciences, with particular attention to the social, political and economic development of the territories.The SSSAP also organizes and promotes national and international conferences, meetings, scientific seminars, publications on topics of significant interest to public and private administrations.In implementing its objectives, the SSSAP cooperates with the other main universities of the Region; with the “Regione Calabria”; with municipalities and public administrations; non- profit organizations, as well as with collective private organizations such as Trade Unions and Employers’ associations.

The Director of the School of Public Administration Sciences is currently Prof. Vincenzo Fortunato.

Former Directors of the SSSAP were Silvio Gambino (from 2009 to 2014), Guerino D’Ignazio (from 2014 to 2019), Francesco Raniolo (in 2019) and Domenico Cersosimo (from 2020 to 2022).
